One of the great things about salesforce.com are Activities. If they are used properly, your organization forgets nothing, and sees everything. But one thing that is NOT natively there in salesforce is the capability to see ALL Activities, both Tasks and Events.
Sure, you can see those assigned to you on the Home page. But what if you are the person that assigns those Tasks and Events to a sales team and support team, and you create 20 per day? Pulling up a report is totally inadequate for this. What you really need is an Activities Tab, that allows list views to be created just as with any other object, and any and all Activities to be visible.
