Refreshing Dashboards is a challenge with Salesforce. There used to be a way to auto-refresh them by using Javascript in Home Page components. But they shut that down.

Salesforce.com customers with Enterprise Edition can schedule refreshes, but even that data gets stale on the Home Page. Professional Edition users cannot even schedule refreshes, and the only current option for many is manually refreshing. But that’s no way to live.

But now there is a remarkably useful FREE Chrome Extension called “Enhance Salesforce Dashboard”. It does two amazing things:

1. Allows you to set your Home Page Dashboard to automatically refresh as often as every 1 minute!!

2. Allows you to view up to 7 dashboard components in a column when creating them, rather than the standard 3 components per column.
