The Salesforce1 mobile app is great. Configurable, easy to use, and, let’s face it, a real asset when it’s 9 p.m. on a Friday, and you think of something that you really need to get into salesforce.com before you forget it.

But sometimes it runs sssslllllooowwwwwwwllllyyyy. What is a person to do?

Well, here is something you can do to get it running faster. While you are in the app, select your setup in the upper left. Then scroll down to Settings, and select it. Then choose “Offline Cache”. Then have it “Cache Now”.

It will fetch your most recent records (Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, whatever objects are accessible in Salesforce1) and put them into local storage on your phone. And there you are!!
