The Winter ’15 Release is on the way. We have read thru the many pages of release notes so you don’t have to. As always, there are some great new features coming. But also as always, the Winter release is a ‘quiet’ one compared to others.

Here are a few of the enhancements coming that look to be useful.

1. Salesforce1 Wizard. There will be a new setup wizard that will allow you to set which items appear in the menu, and configure other settings.
2. Prevent Duplicate Records. There will be a new Beta capability here. What’s unclear to me is if it will be necessary to have Data.com to do this. Remains to be seen.
3. Salesforce for Outlook. Users will now be able to add only attachments that they choose.

So there are a few features, but it’s mostly centered on Salesforce1. Well, for us that have to take release certification tests, it will be an easier go than other releases.
